AI Glasses Turn into Doxing Tools—A Privacy Nightmare
Two Harvard students have turned Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses into a tool that can pull up personal information about strangers in real time. Using custom software, the "I-XRAY" system combines facial recognition, reverse image searches, and large language models to gather names, addresses, and more. Tested on Harvard’s campus, it accurately identified strangers' details, raising significant privacy concerns.
If students can build this, imagine what corporations and governments could do with more resources and access. Privacy in the AI age is about to face its greatest challenge yet.
I haven’t tried out Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses yet but I did hear an interesting theory about them at dinner this weekend.
Smart glasses could significantly reduce the need for learning new languages. Once smart glasses are able to translate languages real-time, this will make travel so much easier.

China Stimulus Disappoints, Bitcoin Slips
Bitcoin dropped to $62,500 after China's stimulus announcement fell short of expectations, dampening market sentiment for risk assets. The broader digital asset market dipped 0.8%.
Ether ETFs in the U.S. registered zero inflows or outflows on Monday, while Bitcoin ETFs saw $235 million in new funds—led by Fidelity and BlackRock.
Meanwhile, Polymarket bettors are divided over who will be revealed as Satoshi Nakamoto in HBO's upcoming documentary, with Nick Szabo leading individual candidates, but "Other/Multiple" gaining 65% support.
I call bullshit on this whole “reveal” of Satoshi and think there’s no chance that they’ve actually figured it out. There’s really no benefit whatsoever to Satoshi for him to be doxxed. Also it’s a major security risk given that this individual (or group of individuals) owns an astronomically large sum of BTC.
