Apple "Pulls the Plug" on Vision Pro 2 (is VR dead?)
June 21st, 2024
Trading and investing is one of the main areas that I believe AI is going to disrupt over the coming years. I’m currently using several automated trading bots that generate me returns ranging from 10-15% per month.
These trading bots are fully automated so I don’t have to stare at charts all day or actively manage it (I don’t even know how to trade!)
If you’re interested in learning more about how to use automated trading bots to generate passive income…

Anthropic Drops Claude Sonnet 3.5
Anthropic has unveiled its latest AI model, Claude Sonnet 3.5, which outperforms any other chatbot, including ChatGPT-4o, according to most reports and benchmarks.
Claude Sonnet 3.5 is twice as fast as the previous model, Claude 3 Opus, and excels in coding, writing, and visual tasks (like explaining charts).
As a writer, Claude Sonnet 3.5 is more human-like, concise, and creative!
Software engineers report that it solves coding issues that GPT-4o can’t.
It also handles large documents better, with a 200k+ token context window that can summarize up to 350 pages of text.
However, Claude Sonnet 3.5 lacks some features of ChatGPT-4o, such as an image generator, Voice Mode, GPTs, Memory/Custom Instructions, and conversation sharing. Upcoming features include:
Artifacts: Your work with Claude—code, text, designs—will appear on the right side of your screen in a dedicated window, making collaboration feel like real-time teamwork.
Memory: Claude will remember details from previous chats.
Claude 3.5 Opus: An even more advanced model.
In our opinion, Anthropic is now on par with OpenAI in terms of model quality. Claude 3.5 Sonnet is impressive, and we’ll be using it alongside ChatGPT-4o in the coming weeks.
That said, Claude lacks the public recognition of OpenAI, which continues to dominate major partnerships and media attention.
Fun Fact: we write this daily newsletter using AI (ChatGPT or Claude writes the base and then we edit by hand). We wanted to write this mornings edition with Claude…but it seems that it’s currently down.

Apple Hits Pause on Vision Pro 2 Launch
Apple is reportedly halting the next high-end Vision Pro to focus on a more affordable version.
Here's the deal:
Apple has "suspended" work on a premium Vision Pro successor. Instead, they're doubling down on a cheaper headset, aiming for a release by the end of 2025.
This budget-friendly Vision will still feature high-end micro-OLED displays but weigh about a third less than the current $3,500 model. Apple targets a price range of $1,000 to $1,600, comparable to a high-end iPhone.
To achieve this, Apple is looking at new display suppliers in China. However, SeeYA Technology, one potential supplier, is reportedly struggling to meet Apple's standards.
Although the Vision Pro brought a ton of eyeballs to the world of VR earlier this year…
Virtual Reality (or spatial computing…whatever we’re calling it these days) hasn’t caught on as much as Apple and Meta expected it to.
Consumers don’t have a problem paying $1,000 for an iPhone that will have 4+ hours per day of screentime. Or a $1,200 Mac that they can work on all day long.
But paying $3,000 for a Virtual Reality headset (whose use cases are still “iffy”) has been a tough argument to make.
