ChatGPT Just Became Your Personal News Assistant
OpenAI launched ChatGPT Pulse, a preview feature that generates personalized morning briefings while you sleep - but only for Pro subscribers paying $200 monthly.
The feature creates 5-10 cards overnight based on chat history, user feedback, or connected Gmail and Calendar data. Users shape future briefings through direct requests or thumbs-based feedback, with updates refreshing daily.
OpenAI deliberately designed Pulse to stop after several reports, displaying "that's it for today" to avoid engagement-driven scrolling patterns. It's rolling out to Plus subscribers eventually as the first of several compute-intensive Pro tier features.
This feels like OpenAI's biggest personalization step forward yet - combining productivity, news, connectors, and life insights into curated morning roundups built for the proactive AI assistant era.
The move signals OpenAI's shift toward agentic AI that anticipates needs rather than just responds to prompts. Your morning briefing just got artificially intelligent.

Bitcoin Fights for September Survival
Crypto markets got brutalized with over $1.1B in liquidations as Bitcoin slipped under $109K and Ethereum tumbled below the critical $4K level.
Altcoins got wrecked hardest. Solana and Dogecoin both cratered over 20% this week, while MicroStrategy plunged 10%, wiping out its entire 2025 gains in one session.
The damage stems from overstretched longs, regulatory caution, and tomorrow's $22B Bitcoin options expiry. Bears stacked heavy bets between $95K-$110K - if Bitcoin can't reclaim that range, sellers walk away with a $1B payday.
Glassnode warns the market shows "signs of exhaustion" after 1,030 days, already brushing against the lifespan of previous bull runs. ETF flows cooled and long-term holders are taking profits.
But there's a twist: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs still logged $241M inflows Wednesday. That's not panic - it's cautious capital waiting for post-expiry opportunities.
History suggests red September typically leads to green October. Bitcoin has closed positive in 10 of the last 12 Octobers. One slip flips the entire month red. One bounce could set up the perfect October rally.
