Claude’s PDF Vision: A New Era in Document Analysis

Anthropic just rolled out PDF capabilities for its Claude 3.5 Sonnet model in public beta, enhancing its ability to analyze both text and visual elements in large documents.

Claude now processes PDFs by extracting text, converting pages into images, and conducting a visual-text analysis. It supports files up to 32MB and 100 pages, perfect for complex documents like financial reports. Integrated features include prompt caching and batch processing, accessible both through Claude’s platform and API.

This upgrade transforms Claude’s utility, making it an invaluable tool for sectors like healthcare and finance, where visual data holds critical insights.

I’m excited to try this out this week. I personally use ChatGPT to do this all of the time. Basically I’ll take information that I have in a google doc, download it as a PDF, and then upload into ChatGPT to analyze.

Things like sales call transcriptions for example have a ton of great insights inside.

Crypto Holds Breath Ahead of U.S. Election

The crypto market is in wait-and-see mode with Bitcoin hovering around $69,000, up just 0.8%, and the wider digital market even more muted at under 0.5%. Last week, BTC nearly hit a new record, but the fading odds for pro-crypto candidate Donald Trump appear to have dampened momentum. Traders now await tomorrow’s election results for clearer direction.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris’s odds are climbing on Polymarket, hitting 43 cents per share today, while Trump’s dropped to 57 cents. Singapore also announced significant steps to advance tokenization in finance, including enhanced frameworks and deeper liquidity networks.

This week’s election and global policy shifts could signal the next big moves in crypto.
