Google's Pixel 10 obliterates iPhone with 20+ AI features Apple can't match

Google just dropped the Pixel 10 lineup like a nuclear bomb at their 'Made by Google' event, and honestly, watching this unfold feels like witnessing Apple get publicly embarrassed by their own former employee. The new Tensor G5 chip delivers 60% faster AI processing while running a 4-billion parameter Gemini Nano model entirely on-device—making Siri look like a calculator from 1995.

Here's where it gets brutal: Voice Translate transforms phone calls in real-time across 10 languages while preserving your actual voice, not some robotic translation nightmare. Magic Cue proactively suggests replies with contextual info like flight details, and Visual Guidance gives real-time visual cues through Gemini Live. Meanwhile, iPhone users are still waiting for basic AI features that actually work.

Google's Rick Osterloh didn't hold back, taking a direct shot at Apple by mentioning "a lot of broken promises" with AI in phones. The conversational photo editing capabilities via natural language prompts—rumored to be the hyped nano-banana model—make Apple's photo editing look prehistoric. Starting at $799-$1199 across three variants, Google is essentially saying "this is how you do AI phones."

The smartphone wars just shifted dramatically. While Apple stumbles with delayed AI rollouts and underwhelming features, Google is shipping actual AI magic that works. This isn't just a product launch—it's a declaration that the future of smartphones belongs to whoever can deliver real AI capabilities, not marketing promises.

TODAY IN CRYPTO

Bitcoin's existential crisis deepens as whales flee to Ethereum

Crypto markets are having what can only be described as a complete meltdown, with Bitcoin retreating to $113,600 after briefly touching $114,800, while everyone nervously awaits Jerome Powell's Jackson Hole speech on Friday like it's the Second Coming. But here's the plot twist nobody saw coming: an OG whale just dumped 660 BTC and threw $295 million into Ethereum across four wallets, basically giving Bitcoin the middle finger.

The decentralization alarm bells are screaming louder than a fire drill after WhaleWire revealed that just two mining pools—Foundry USA and Antpool—now control over 50% of Bitcoin's hashrate. This comes right after Qubic claimed they pulled off a 51% attack on Monero and threatened Dogecoin next. If that doesn't keep Bitcoin maximalists awake at night, nothing will.

Strategy dropped more bad news by hinting they might issue equity to pay debt interest and fund preferred dividends, which had the market questioning whether the poster child of corporate Bitcoin adoption is starting to crack. Swan tried damage control, pointing to Strategy's $73 billion Bitcoin stash and claiming they could cover dividends for decades even if Bitcoin crashed 50%, but the damage to confidence was already done.

Meanwhile, Kanye West's YZY memecoin pulled the most spectacular pump-and-dump in recent memory, rocketing to $3 billion before crashing below $1 billion faster than you could say "I'mma let you finish." Even celebrity memecoins are losing their staying power, suggesting the speculative mania that once drove crypto adoption is finally running out of steam.
