GPT-Next to Outclass GPT-4 by 100x, Says OpenAI Japan CEO

OpenAI Japan’s CEO just unveiled groundbreaking details about ‘GPT-Next’, which promises a 100x performance leap over GPT-4 while keeping computing demands relatively stable.

This is achieved through improved architecture and learning efficiency, rather than just more raw power. GPT-Next will incorporate a smaller version of "Strawberry", an advanced AI system OpenAI is working on.

Expected in late 2024, this model could redefine AI's speed and efficiency, with a follow-up model, Orion, slated for 2025.

Bitcoin Tanks Below $56K Amid Broader Market Sell-Off

Bitcoin dipped under $56,000 during the Asian morning, wiping out nearly all of its gains from the past month. It later recovered slightly to $56,500, but still remains 4% down in the last 24 hours. This market-wide drop mirrored the 3.5% fall in the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500, triggered by weak U.S. manufacturing data.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin mining profitability has hit record lows, with daily revenues per EH/s plummeting to $43,600 in August. Additionally, Volmex Finance launched a new implied volatility index for Solana’s SOL token, giving traders a tool to measure potential price swings.
