OpenAI’s Next Big AI Leap or Just Hype?

OpenAI’s mysterious project, Strawberry, could be unveiled as early as next week, sparking excitement around its rumored high-level reasoning abilities.

Strawberry will integrate into ChatGPT, offering users an option to toggle between regular and advanced modes, with faster access for premium subscribers. It promises more accurate, step-by-step problem solving, handling complex queries like business ideas and math problems.

Is it groundbreaking? Early reviews are mixed, with some users preferring the speed of GPT-4o for simpler tasks. But this could just be the beginning of something far more revolutionary.

To give you some context here…

Strawberry is the same thing as OpenAI’s “Q” model. This played a big role in Sam Altman’s temporary firing last fall.

So it’s definitely controversial in some ways.

OpenAI has been dragging their feet on this launch for a while now. Sam Altman was clearly disappointed by GPT-4 so I think he has some big expectations for Strawberry.

Bitcoin Sinks After Harris Outshines Trump in First Debate

Bitcoin tumbled to just over $56,000 following the Harris ~ Trump debate last night.

I didn’t personally watch the debate and I’m not sure whether crypto was discussed…

But ultimately this wasn’t a significant drop in price. BTC rebounded slightly to $56,500 during the European morning, it remained down about 1.3% over the last 24 hours, with the broader crypto market reflecting similar declines.

Meanwhile, the Japanese yen surged against the U.S. dollar, signaling a broader shift away from riskier assets as crypto traders watch political developments with concern. Notably, crypto policy was left untouched during the debate.
