Sam Altman’s “Questionable” AI Safety Measures

AI is basically the wild west right now from a regulation standpoint. People like Elon Musk are calling for more safety and guardrails. People like Sam Altman are sprinting ahead at lightning speed toward AGI.

Governments are really the only ones who can enforce regulations on these companies. BUT AI companies move at a Usain Bolt pace while governments move like turtles. (funny enough - we’re basically seeing a similar situation with crypto as well).

Since governments can’t keep up, AI companies are essentially battling it out between each other.

OpenAI recently had its AI safety team effectively dissolved (after a few exec team departures).

After this took place, Sam Altman replaced the security team with…wait for it…

HIMSELF.

With Sam Altman in charge of AI safety at OpenAI, we think they are only going to move toward AGI faster than ever.

A lot of former and current employees are beginning to speak out and express their concerns over Altman’s leadership.

I personally don’t AI innovation is going to slow down anytime soon.

A More Than $1T Bitcoin DeFi Opportunity

NVIDIA Plans Humanoid Robot

NVIDIA has announced Project GR00T (Generalist Robot 00 Technology), a general-purpose foundation model designed to drive breakthroughs in humanoid robots and embodied AI. GR00T-powered robots will be able to understand natural language, emulate human movements, and quickly learn skills to navigate and interact with the real world. As part of this initiative, NVIDIA unveiled Jetson Thor, a new modular computing platform optimized for humanoid robots. It features a next-gen GPU delivering 800 TFLOPS of AI performance to run multimodal generative AI models like GR00T. NVIDIA is partnering with leading humanoid robotics companies to build robots using this platform.

In addition to Project GR00T and Jetson Thor, NVIDIA has made significant updates to its Isaac robotics platform. These updates include Isaac Lab, a GPU-accelerated application for running parallel robot learning simulations; OSMO, which orchestrates robot development workflows across distributed compute environments; Isaac Manipulator, a collection of pretrained models and libraries enabling robotic arms with dexterity and modular AI capabilities; and Isaac Perceptor, which provides multi-camera 3D surround-vision for autonomous mobile robots. These new Isaac platform capabilities are expected to be available in the next quarter.

NVIDIA believes that the enabling technologies are coming together for roboticists to make giant leaps towards artificial general robotics. By unveiling a powerful new foundation model, computing platform, and development tools, NVIDIA aims to accelerate innovation in humanoid robots and embodied AI applications. The company is partnering closely with industry leaders to bring these cutting-edge technologies to market.

Coinbase's New Smart Wallet Simplifies Crypto

Coinbase's new smart wallet is a game-changer for people who are looking to get into crypto investing.

Their process is much more simple and streamlined.

You can now use FaceID or “Sign in with Google” to activate a self-custody wallet and access it across various devices.

Coinbase smart wallet is going to support:

• ETH

• Base

• Optimism

• Arbitrum

• Polygon

• Avalanche

• BNB and

• Zora

This should simplify things for many people who are new to crypto.
